13th International Symposium on Colloidal and Molecular Electrooptics

September 2nd-5th 2012 in Gent (Belgium)

In 2012 the ELOPTO symposium is returning to Belgium, where the series started in 1974. The research field of electro-optics has expanded due to new developments both in material systems and in electro-optical techniques. The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists working in the domain and to promote the exchange of new ideas and the interaction between researchers that are active in related domains.

The symposium is organized in a former monastery, called "Het Pand" that was purchased and renovated by Ghent University and is located along a channel in the medievel center of Ghent. Ghent is a charming city that featured in the Lonely Planet's top 10 cities. The symposium will have plenary, invited and contributed talks and two poster sessions. The format is aiming at maximizing interactions between the participants.
